(ITBINDNews) Institut Teknologi dan Bisnis (ITB) Indragiri sebagai Perguruan Tinggi Akademik berupaya untuk membangun pengalaman belajar yang menyenangkan dan menantang bagi seluruh mahasiswa. Di samping teori-teori belajar yang diberikan, mahasiswa juga dibimbing untuk mempraktikkan teori-teori tersebut dalam kehidupan nyata, seperti mengikuti Kegiatan Magang Mahasiswa (KMM) di berbagai perusahaan BUMN/BUMD/Swasta, UMKM, dan instansi pemerintah.

Siang ini, Pusat Penelitian dan Pengabdian Masyarakat (P3M) ITB Indragiri yang membidangi KMM ini mengadakan Kegiatan Sosialisasi dan Koordinasi KMM Tahun Akademik 2023/2024 sebagai penguatan kapasitas Dosen Pembimbing Magang (DPM) dalam membimbing mahasiswa magang di lapangan nantinya.

Kepala P3M, Bapak Suwaji, S.E.,M.M menyampaikan bahwa peserta magang tahun ini berjumlah 402 Mahasiswa, terdiri dari 391 mahasiswa Program Studi S1 Manajemen dan 11 mahasiswa Program Studi S1 Teknik Sipil. Adapun kegiatan magang dilakukan di berbagai perusahaan BUMN/BUMD/Swasta lokal dan luar daerah seperti di Kota Pekanbaru dan Medan. Mahasiswa juga diberi kesempatan untuk melaksanakan magang pada 13 BUMDes kategori maju di Indragiri Hulu.

Pada kesempatan yang sama, Rektor ITB Indragiri, H. Raja Marwan Indra Saputra, S.E.,M.Si menegaskan bahwa Pemagangan ini berorientasi pada lingkungan organisasi kerja yang nyata agar mahasiswa kita bisa beradaptasi sekaligus mengadopsi berbagai keterampilan kerja (hard skill) dan komunikasi efektif (soft skill) di tempat magangnya. Kita juga perlu mengarahkan mahasiswa untuk tanggap terhadap berbagai kemungkinan dampak kinerja positif dan negatif yang berlaku di lokasi magang, sehingga kondisi tersebut bisa dijadikan sebagai data awal persiapan bahan penelitian mereka ke depannya. Harapan kami, setiap Dosen tetap memegang integritas nya sebagai tenaga pendidik yang profesional dengan menaati kode etik yang berlaku, sehingga atmosfir akademik kita tetap berjalan secara kondusif dan terus mengalami peningkatan kualitas hasil pendidikan, penelitian dan pengabdian masyarakat bagi mahasiswa dan dosen.

Adapun kegiatan pembekalan bagi mahasiswa KMM akan diadakan pada hari Jum’at-Sabtu, 09-10 Agustus 2024 di gedung baru (Prodi Manajemen).
