(ITBINews) Institut Teknologi dan Bisnis (ITB) Indragiri sebagai lembaga penyelenggara pendidikan tinggi terus berupaya membangun dan menata sistem pelayanan terpadu berbasis teknologi informasi sebagai memenuhi kebutuhan pelayanan akademik bagi mahasiswa, dosen, dan tenaga kependidikan. Fasilitas-fasilitas yang disediakan adalah untuk menunjang kegiatan akademik agar dapat berjalan dengan lancar dan sesuai harapan seluruh warga kampus, dalam rangka menuju Good University Governance, maka ITB Indragiri perlu membangun sistem yang baik.
Wakil Rektor (WR) I, Mr. Ziko Fransinatra, S.S.,M.M saat menerima kunjungan Presiden Mahasiswa, Muhammad Rezki, menjelaskan panjang lebar, bahwa “Saat ini, mahasiswa sudah dimudahkan melakukan pembayaran melalui aplikasi “EMAS” yang terintegrasi pada virtual account. Bagi mahasiswa yang belum melunasi pembiayaan semester sebelumnya akan terkendala dalam mencetak KRS dan KHS. Hal ini tentu saja dimaksudkan agar mahasiswa dapat melek dan taat terhadap aturan yang berlaku. Namun, kampus juga memberikan solusi kemudahan dalam pembiayaan tersebut. Dimana terdapat tiga tahapan angsuran pembiayaan, yakni 40%, 30% dan 30%.” Ujar WR I yang biasa disapa Mr Ziko.
Lebih lanjut dijelaskannya, “Dalam tiga tahapan pembiayaan semester tersebut, fungsi controlling (pengawasan) juga perlu diberlakukan, karena tanpa pengawasan yang ketat bisa saja terjadi “lost payment”. Terkait hal ini, terdapat KRS yg berbeda dalam tiap tahapan pembayaran. Tahap 1 (40%) mahasiswa terdaftar sebagai peserta kelas kuliah, karena aplikasi EMAS akan mengimport data mahasiswa yang telah membayar 40% ke dalam daftar presensi kelas. Untuk tahap 2 (30%), mahasiswa dapat mengikuti UTS. Sedangkan tahap 3 (30%) sebagai tahap pelunasan dimana mahasiswa dapat mengikuti UAS.” Ungkap Mr Ziko kepada Muhammad Rezki.
“Terdapat kekhawatiran dalam permohonan tanda tangan kepada dosen Penasehat Akademik (PA) ataupun dosen pengawas ujian.” Sela Muhammad Rezki saat menyampaikan aspirasi rekan-rekan mahasiswa kepada WR I.
“Hal itu hanya teknis dan strategi mahasiswa saja sebagai upaya membangun komunikasi yang baik dengan dosen yang bersangkutan.” Jawab Mr Ziko.
“Kesulitan pembiayaan adalah ranah personal mahasiswa yang dapat diajukan secara personal kepada WR II, Bapak Dr. Aris Triyono, S.E.,M.M. Namun keputusan penangguhan pembiayaan saat ini agak sulit diterapkan, mengingat rekam jejak tahun-tahun sebelumnya, terdapat sejumlah surat kesediaan pembayaran yang diberikan manajemen kampus yang tidak ditepati pelunasannya oleh sejumlah mahasiswa. Hal tersebut tentu berdampak pada operasional kampus yang mana notabene nya bersumber dari pembiayaan semester.” Tegas WR I kepada Presma.
Di akhir pertemuan, diterangkan lebih lanjut oleh WR I kepada Presma, “ITB Indragiri terus berupaya memfasilitasi beasiswa bagi mahasiswa berprestasi dan kurang mampu, seperti KIP-Kuliah, Baznas, Kesra dan Beasiswa Kampus, sebagai wujud kepedulian kita bersama bagi warga kampus yang membutuhkan bantuan biaya kuliah. Tapi perlu digarisbawahi, yakni selama mahasiswa yang bersangkutan memenuhi persyaratan dan ketentuan yang ditetapkan oleh pemberi beasiswa.”
