(ITBINews) Dalam rangka memasuki tahun ajaran baru, Institut Teknologi dan Bisnis (ITB) Indragiri mengadakan kegiatan Pengenalan Kehidupan Kampus Mahasiswa Baru (PKKMB) Tahun Akademik 2024-2025.
Hari pertama, acara pembukaan kegiatan PKKMB dipusatkan di Gedung Dang Purnama Rengat, yang berisikan sambutan selamat datang dan pemberian materi penguatan karakter dan cinta tanah air bagi mahasiswa baru ITB Indragiri yang mengambil Program Studi S1 Manajemen, S1 Kebidanan dan Profesi Bidan, S1 Agribisnis, dan S1 Teknik Sipil.
Turut hadir pada acara tersebut Bupati Indragiri Hulu, Kapolres Inhu, Dandim 0302 Inhu, Perwakilan Kepala Desa Rantau Mapesai, Ketua YPI, Rektor dan Wakil Rektor, serta Bapak dan Ibu Dosen ITB Indragiri.
Bupati Indragiri Hulu dalam hal ini diwakili oleh Kepala Bappeda Kab Indragiri Hulu, Bobby Mauliantino, S.T.,M.T menyampaikan kata sambutan di hadapan ratusan mahasiswa baru, “Selamat kepada adik-adik yang telah diterima sebagai mahasiswa baru di Institut Teknologi dan Bisnis Indragiri Tahun Akademik 2024-2025. Mari luruskan niat, mengikuti perkuliahan di ITB Indragiri dengan sungguh-sungguh dan penuh tanggung jawab, sehingga kedepannya, adik-adik mampu menggapai cita-cita menjadi generasi penerus bangsa yang membanggakan kita semua. Perlu saya ingatkan, dunia kerja saat ini tidak hanya membutuhkan orang-orang yang memiliki intelektual yang baik, tetapi harus dibarengi dengan emosional serta spritual yang baik pula. Karena itu, saya juga berpesan kepada adik-adik para mahasiswa baru, agar dapat menjaga sikap saling menghargai, santun serta hormat kepada para dosen, sehingga seluruh transformasi ilmu yang diberikan nantinya dapat adik-adik serap dengan optimal.” Ujar Pak Bobby.
Ketua Panitia PKKMB, Gerhana Adjie, S.E.,M.M melaporkan bahwa tahun akademik 2024-2025 ini ITB Indragiri telah menerima mahasiswa baru sebanyak 363 orang. Alhamdulillaah, dan dalam waktu dekat jumlah ini insya Allah akan terus bertambah.
Rektor ITB Indragiri, H. Raja Marwan Indra Saputra, S.E.,M.Si turut memberikan apresiasi kepada mahasiswa baru, “Selamat datang bagi mahasiswa baru dan terima kasih kami sampaikan atas kepercayaan ananda semua karena telah menjadikan ITB Indragiri sebagai Perguruan Tinggi pilihan utama untuk menimba ilmu dan meningkatkan kompetensi lanjutan. Kami berupaya menyediakan layanan pendidikan yang berkualitas bagi ananda semua. Semoga apa yang ananda cita-citakan bisa terwujudkan bersama ITB Indragiri.” Ujar Pak Rektor.
Ketua Yayasan Pendidikan Indragiri (YPI), Ir. Hendri A. Saleh, M.A juga berharap bagi mahasiswa baru untuk bisa beradaptasi dengan lingkungan baru, merasakan kenyamanan belajar, serta memperoleh tambahan wawasan keilmuan dan kedewasaan dalam berpikir dan berinovasi.” Ajak Pak Hendri.
Kegiatan PKKMB ITB Indragiri akan dilaksanakan selama tiga hari (Kamis-Sabtu) dan untuk acara puncaknya akan dipusatkan di Gedung Kampus II ITB Indragiri di Seberang Rengat, yang akan menyertakan alumni-alumni yang telah sukses dalam berkarir di dunia kerja dalam kegiatan diskusi santai bersama mahasiswa baru.
